In announcing the transition, Harrison reflected on his time at Classic Wallabies.

“Our Classic Wallabies program has developed a powerful brand and presence in engaging our past players, delivering positivity and energy into rural Australia and providing a network of connection that is and will be forever linked.”

“The momentum and structure that has been generated in the Classic Wallaby program through the support of the board, our members, corporate partners Rugby Australia and the Australian Rugby Foundation will ensure that the program continues to engage past Australian representative players, rugby family members from all regions of Australia and delivers a support network to all of the stakeholders of our game.”

“I would like to thank you all for your support and energy that you have all delivered to the Classic Wallaby program.”

Classic Wallabies President Simon Poidevin thanked Harrison for his contribution.

“Justin has had a significant positive influence on the Australian Rugby environment since returning to Australia and taking on the role of General Manager of Classic Wallabies. Under his stewardship the relevance, influence and visibility of the mandate of the Classic Wallabies has gone from strength to strength. The board on behalf of all Classic Wallabies wishes Justin the best of luck in his new role as CEO of RUPA and looks forward to him continuing to positively impact our great game in Australia. We are looking forward to a more collaborative relationship between RUPA and the Classic Wallabies program”

Harrison will transition into his new role over the next eight weeks, during which time a decision and announcement will be made regarding the General Manager position with Classic Wallabies.
