Biography
Born and bred in Canberra, Peter Kimlin was a graduate of Canberra Grammar School who worked his way through the domestic rugby system before he achieved national honours.
A schools and then aged representative, Kimlin was signed by the Brumbies Academy in 2007, a year in which he made his Super 14 debut.
In 2008, and despite the presence of incumbent tight forwards Mark Chisholm, Al Campbell and Adam Wallace-Harrison he managed to play in every Brumbies’ match and was rewarded with Australia ‘A’ selection for the Pacific Nations’ Cup tournament. The powerful lock cum flanker was then chosen for the Wallabies' end-of-year Spring Tour and while he did not appear in any of the internationals he became a Wallaby in the uncapped match against the Barbarians. A year later Kimlin made his Test debut against the touring Italians in Canberra. Unfortunately his international career was cut short due to several debilitating injuries.
