Classics to Gather in Coonamble in support of the Country Education Foundation
It's a case of third time lucky as a group of Classic Wallabies and Classic Wallaroos will visit Coonamble and a handful of other towns in the Western Plains region in April 2022.
Although the event has been postponed twice in two years due to the pandemic, the Coonamble locals are optimistically planning for a spectacular celebration of rugby on April 23rd, when each of the Classics teams will play invitational Western Plains sides. The day will feature a range of other matches and activities, including a free junior rugby coaching clinic conducted by the Wallabies and Wallaroos greats.
Funds raised from this event will support the Coonamble and District Country Education Foundation, which provides much needed financial assistance and support to local youth to help them achieve their post high school education, training and vocation aspirations.
